Description: Recommended for all users who will be using the system to draft documents. You will work directly with an experienced Trusts & Estates attorney who will clarify many of the available options, point out shortcuts, highlight "help" resources, and make recommendations to you.

The attorney will "watch over your shoulder" as you create your first clients and documents directly on your PC. The goal of this program is to help you feel confident and successful so that you can maximize your investment.

Description: This course on Microsoft Word will use of the WTP Toolbar and Word formatting functions:

  • Apply Stylesheets for Legal and Standard Numbering; Single, Double, and1.5 Spacing; and Times Roman and Arial Fonts.

  • Apply Paragraph Styles through the Format Painter, Style selector and theStyle List
  • Access and use Word's Document Map function

Description: WTP allows the administrator a number of advanced customization tools. This course will cover:

  • Creation of custom answer profiles
  • Application of profiles to particular document templates
  • Modification of Word Stylesheets
  • Working with Cascading Styles
  • Configuring Outline Numbering in Word

Course Name: WTP 104: Basic Customization of Element Templates
Length: 60 minutes

Prerequisites: WTP 102: Document Formatting and Editing in Word AND WTP 103: Basic Customization of Profiles and Style Sheets
Description: WTP has opened up the templates for editing by authorized users with developer privileges. Since the templates are regularly updated, training is required before any customization is attempted. This course will cover:

  • The structure of WTP templates
  • The MECHANICS of how to edit Master Templates and Element Templates.
  • Best practices for managing customized templates and updates to shipping templates.
  • Paragraph and text formatting tips.
  • If you plan to make extensive customization of the shipping templates, it is recommended that you consider an Annual Maintenance Contract with Basha Systems or the soon to be offer Advance Customization Package (which will include further training, customization tools, and consulting assistance).

Course Name: ELP 101 - Elder Law and Special Needs Planning (The Basics)

Description: Recommended for all users of Elder Law and Special Needs Planning. The course covers the basic navigation and functionality of the system. You will be gathering client information using the Client Questionnaire and the Asset Protection Plan, determining the client's planning alternatives, selecting the appropriate plan and assisting the client in the implementation of the plan.

To register for a class, click here. Classes are limited to 10 persons and space is reserved on a first-come first-served basis.

Instructions on how to access the training sessions will be emailed. All you will need to participate is a PC running Internet Explorer and an Internet connection (preferably high-speed). There is no need to have Wealth Transfer Planning installed or running at your location in order to participate in training classes.
